SpeedCHAIN International 2023
The seventeenth annual SpeedCHAIN International logistics conference is already a history. It reached multiple records, from the record number of participants exceeding 800, through the ratio of foreign experts (21%) and countries represented (18), the number of experts speaking in panel discussions, to the total number of partners and sponsors of this unique platform designed especially for logistics professionals throughout the entire supply chain.
None of the current topics of the contemporary world remained untouched, however, those that directly or indirectly fall into the field of ESG policy, or that further develop the issue of business sustainability not only in logistics, played a key role during the two conference days. Whether in the form of separate lectures or as moderated round tables, the discussions focused on areas related to building sustainable infrastructure, HR management, automation and digitization, monitoring emission impacts on the environment, the consequences of the transition to low and zero-emission fuels, and the overall change of the mindset.
As exceptional as the professional program itself, the networking dimension of this unique event was also exceptional. The unrepeatable atmosphere of the historical premises of the Brevnov Monastery together with all the outdoor spaces created a worthy backdrop for the meeting of experts across individual fields of human activity, nationalities and professional expertise. In addition, the atmosphere was pleasantly complemented by the culinary art of the InCatering chefs, premium wine from the Pastorek winery in Cejkovice, live music on the stage and charming moderation of Adela Gondikova.
The second day of the conference offered a moderated site visit to the training center of VOLVO Trucks in Klicany near Prague. All participants were invited not only to a comprehensive block of lectures dedicated to individual aspects of the transformation of traditional transport fleets, but also were they offered opportunity to drive personally a fully electric VOLVO FH Electric tractor.
A great opportunity to learn more about current development in the field, about new trends that will significantly influence our work and lives in the years to come, but also to meet their peers, as well as create new personal and professional ties. All this was this year’s SpeedCHAIN.
The next target now is to launch at full speed the preparations for the upcoming edition of the SpeedCHAIN conference, which will take place on September 18, 2024 – traditionally again in the premises of Prague Brevnov Monastery.
